VELI BRIJUN

The sightseeing tour includes: a ride by tourist train, visit to the remains of the Roman villa rustica from the I century B.C. in the bay of Verige, and the safari park which breeds the following animals: zebra, Somali sheep, zebu (the holy east Indian humped ox), dromedary, llama and elephant.

The tour also includes visits to the archaeological museum located in the Citadel building from the XVI century and the Church of St. Germain with permanent exhibition of copies of frescoes and Glagolitic writings from Istra.

The sightseeing of the island of Veliki Brijun is organized under un expert guidance in Croatian, Italian, Germain, Russian and English.

MALI BRIJUNI

 

The island of Mali Brijun is the second island by size belonging to the Brijuni National Park and covers an area of 107,3 ha.
It is separated from the island of Veliki Brijun by the Tisnac Channel which is 150 m wide.

The excursion by m/b Brijunka to the island of Mali Brijun starts with a visit to the Brioni Minor Fort built at the end of the XIX century which was part of the defense system of the main Austro-Hungarian port Pula. This largest fort, measuring 175 x 90 m, had 12 officers and 530 soldiers and was protected by 20 cannons.The fort covers an area of 15.750m2.

The programme continues with a picnic under the centuries old pine trees and swimming in the crystal clear sea.

SAILING AROUND THE ARCHIPELAGO


The excursion program of sailing around the Brijuni archipelago in Brijuni National Park boats is organized for hotel guests and tourists, together with guide service. The boats sail between Veli and Mali Brijun islands and there is also a possibility of putting to shore in Sv. Nikola Cove on Mali Brijun and on Sv. Jerolim island.

The boat departs from the main harbor on Veli Brijun or Fažana.

Food and drinks may also be served during the excursion, depending on the visitors' request, which is then charged according to the valid Brijuni National Park tariff.

The tour ends in the main harbor on Veli Brijun or Fažana.

St. Jerolim

The sightseeing program for the island of St. Jerolim consists of the possibility to accept individual and group visits with all-day stay and sunbathing. The shallow-draft vessels are allowed to anchor and sail between the islands paying the fee. The private and public vessels that transport the visitors on the island of St. Jerolim are allowed to anchor without previous announcement paying the fee directly on the island to the authorized person from the Public Institution.


Kozada (Kotež)

The sightseeing tour for the visitors includes the all – day stay and sunbathing. The shallow-draft vessels are allowed to anchor on the island without previous announcement and no fee is paid.
