Fazana's waterfront
The magical sunset at Fazana's waterfront becomes even more fascinating
with the chants of Istrian harmony singing
groups klape mixing with the soft melodies of Fazana's fishermen
while diligently making their nets and other fishing
equipment like vrše and parangali,
wicker-covered flagons bocuni and rope fenders bokobrani, and the sweet smell
of pilchard,
this well known oily fish as it spreads from the grill gradele.
Such an enchanting and authentic image of seaside life was once observed
by the famous poet and director Pier Paolo
Pasolini calling Fazana a charming
little town during one of his visits to Istria.
