Brodet is a traditional Mediterranean dish and one of the most iconic fish specialties of the Adriatic. The basic rule of a fisherman’s brodet is simple – it is prepared with the fish caught that day. It usually combines different types of fish and other seafood, with rock fish being especially valued. The greater the variety of fish, the richer the flavour of the brodet. Discover the tradition of preparing this authentic Istrian delicacy and enjoy an event celebrating Istria’s rich culinary heritage.
Brodet Cooking Competition – Watch the teams showcase their creativity and culinary skills as they prepare delicious brodets. Each team will add its own character and secret ingredients, creating a variety of flavours and aromas that will fill the waterfront.
Expert Jury Evaluation – A professional jury will taste and evaluate the brodets, selecting the winning team based on flavour, quality of preparation and presentation.
Winner Announcement – At the end of the event, the team that has prepared the best brodet will be announced and awarded a valuable prize.
Entertainment Programme – Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with live performances by Škico Acoustic Band and Klapa Ris.
